I am graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts. I have strong leadership, programming, and public relations skills. I currently work at Pearland Texas State Optical as the Project Manager. I assist the doctors and manager of the office increase efficiency and adapt protocols to be compliant with new health care laws. Also, during my time with the company I have worked on developing an online marketing campaign that will increase the business’s online presence.
In my free time I enjoy volunteering for non-profits in Dallas and Houston. I currently serve as an associate board member for the La Porte Education Foundation where I help with external communication. I recently developed new marketing videos for foundation covering the impact of the organization on the community for the past 20 years. I am currently working with the foundation to plan a 20 Year Celebration Gala in 2014 and the development of a new website that will launch in the middle of 2014.
When I am not working with the foundation, I enjoy spending time with my friends and reading about the new advancements in technology and online.

I served as president of Program Council during my senior year. Program Council is the main programming organization on the SMU campus. Program Council plans a variety of small and large scale events on campus. During the spring semester of my senior year, I am lead a team of members to plain the closing event for the George W. Bush Library opening. Also, I served as vice president of programming for SMU Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). During my time in the position, I helped to restructure the organization to be more focused on programs and started the first Career Fair focused on students pursuing communication fields. During my senior year, I served as director of U11, a school spirit and leadership organization on campus. As director, I led four advisors and act as liaison for the organization between SMU Athletics and other school organizations.
During my last two years, I worked on founding a student run PR firm for our PRSSA chapter called Boulevard Public Relations. After overwhelming success with a number of clients including DKMS, Cox School of Business, and CVK , the SMU Communications Department decided to transition the firm into a capstone course. I was an Engaged Learning grant recipient where I worked on expanding the brand and message of Boulevard PR and its clients.
